PV Desk : State Minister for Power Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid today said the continuation of the present government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is a must for overall development of the country including power and energy sectors .
He said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina had directed to set up a new refinery in addition to start construction works of the second unit of the country’s lone state owned Eastern Refinery Limited (ERL) with three million tonnnes capacity within the next two months .
The minister said this as the chief guest while addressing the celebration programme of the golden jubilee of the ERA at city’s international convention centre today.
Stressing the importance on uninterrupted supply of power and energy, Nasrul said the government has already established depots in Bagabari of Khulna.
The present government is advancing with massive developments in all sectors particularly power and energy, he said.
“We have to keep continuation of development that means Sheikh Hasina led government must be in power again and again,” the state minister said.
Chief coordinator of the Prime Minister office Abul Kalam Azad presided over the inaugural function.
