Abdul Hamid will take oath as the 21st president of the country at 7:30 pm in Darbar Hall of Bangabhaban.

Since independence, 16 people have served Bangladesh as president for 19 terms, prior to Hamid.
Hamid is the 17th person to serve as president and the first to be in the position for the second consecutive term.
As constitution allows a president to serve the country for the second consecutive term, it is his last tenure.
Chief Election Commission (CEC) Nurul Huda declared Md Abdul Hamid the 21st president of Bangladesh as no other candidate was found for the post.
Md Abdul Hamid took the oath as the 20th president of the country on Apr 24, 2013.
