BNP out to create unrest ahead of parliament polls: Nasim


PV Desk : Central 14-party alliance spokesman and Awami League Presidium Member Mohammed Nasim today said BNP along with the assistance of anti-liberation forces is hatching conspiracies to create instability in the country ahead of the next parliament election.

“BNP-Jamaat is intensifying their conspiracy ahead of the national election,” he told a press conference after a joint meeting of 14-party with Awami League associate bodies at AL president’s Dhanmondi political office here.

Nasim, also Health and Family Welfare Minister, said as part of the anti-state conspiracies of anti-liberation forces, attack was carried out on eminent writer and educationist Professor Mohammed Zafar Iqbal.

He urged the people of all classes imbued with the spirit of Liberation War under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to unitedly resist the anti-liberation forces in the next general election like the great Liberation War.

The joint-meeting was organised to make successful the 14-party’s mass gathering programme on March 20 protesting the attack on Prof Zafar Iqbal and the militant activities in the country.

Samyabadi Dal General Secretary Dilip Barua, Jatiya Party (JP) Secretary General Sheikh Shahidul Islam, Awami League (AL) Joint General Secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif, Organising Secretary Ahmad Hossain, Deputy Office Secretary Barrister Biplab Barua, Dhaka City South AL General Secretary Shahe Alam Murad and North Awami League General Secretary Sadeq Khan were present on the occasion, among others.
