People not want to see BNP in power: Hanif

PV Desk : Awami League Joint General Secretary Mahbub-ul-Alam Hanif today said the country’s people do not want to see any corrupted government, led by BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, in power.

“People of the country will prove in the next general election that they do not want any corrupted government, led by Begum Zia,” he said while speaking the inaugural session of a seven-day regional small and medium enterprise (SME) product fair at collector’s point in Kushtia.

Meanwhile, Hanif said, top BNP leaders, including its senior vice- chairman Tarique Rahman, were convicted in courts for corruption. “The people, who think that people will elect the dishonest leaders of BNP in next polls, are insane,” he said.

Chaired by Kushtia deputy commissioner Zahir Rayhan, local superintendent of police (SP) SM Mehedi Hasan, district parishad chairman Haji Rabiul Islam, Sadar upazila executive officer Julia Shukaina were, among others, present on the occasion.

Around 75 stalls were set up at the fair.
