Minimum age for FF recognition now 12.6 yrs


PV Desk : The government has set 12 years and 6 months as the minimum age for recognition as freedom fighters for those who took part in Liberation War in 1971.
The Ministry of Liberation War Affairs issued the circular on Wednesday afternoon in this regard.
According to the circular, the minimum age for one to be recognised as a freedom fighter must be 12 years and six months till the date of November 30 of 1971.
Earlier on June 19 last year, the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs had issued a circular declaring 13 years as minimum age for freedom fighter recognition.
