Jewellers hike gold prices again in two weeks

PV Desk : Gold prices have gone up just two weeks after they were revised up last month.
The latest revision causes the price of 1 Bhori (11.664 gram) of 22-carat gold to rise by Tk 1,400, which means it will cost now Tk 50,738.
Similar price hikes have also occurred in the markets for gold of inferior qualities.
The new prices will be effective from Wednesday, according to the Bangladesh Jewellers Samiti.
The prices have been increased as demand is outstripping supply, said the association’s General Secretary Dilip Kumar Agarwala.
