19-day Siratunnabi mahfil begins at Chunti

The 19-day-long historic Siratunnabi mahfil got underway at Chunti of Lohagara in Chittagong on December 1 last. Prof. Dr. Abu Reza Muhammad Nezamuddin Nadvi MP inaugurated the mahfil.
Moulana Jalaluddin Muniri recited from the holy Quran, while Alhaj Moulana Helaluddin Md. Musa Naate Rasul and Moulana Mozaher Hossain Sadare conducted the mahfil.
Besides, Alhaj Moulana Rabiullah, Abu Huraira Muhammad Sakil, Moulana Helaluddin, Alhaz Moulana Habibul Wahed, Moulana Abul Fazal and Alhaj Moulana Muhammad Ziaul Karim also took part in other sessions.
The 47-year-long Sirat mahfil had started on Sirat maidan covering 13 acres of land at Chunti Shah Manzil since 1972. The mahfil will end on December 19 with Akheri munazat.
