BNP wants permanent strife, not polls: Inu

PV Desk : Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu said today that BNP-Jamaat would continue to destabilize the state as long as they exist.

He called upon journalists to be vocal against BNP which remained in alliance with the Jamaat and was an accomplice of all anti-liberation forces.

The minister was speaking as chief guest at an award-giving ceremony at the Dhaka Reporters’ Unity (DRU).

He accused the BNP-Jamaat of “uninterrupted strife”.

“Even if we win the upcoming election they would continue to destabilize the country,” he said.

“If they return to power they would change everything. The country’s development achieved under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina would be stymied. History books would be changed. The country’s four state principles would be no more. The Father of the Nation would be changed. Militants and bigots would have a heyday,” he said.
