PV Desk : Law Minister Anisul Huq said that the final draft of the gazette notification on job discipline and code of conduct for lower court judges has been sent to Supreme Court.
The minister was talking to the reporters Tuesday (November 21).
“The discord among us upon the gazette of lower court judges was solved through a discussion we sat in on Thursday.”
“The draft we agreed upon discussion was finalized and sent to the Supreme Court yesterday. I will send it to the honorable president whenever the court will give it back”, said the minister.
Criticizing the recently outgoing chief justice Surendra Kumar Sinha’s comment that dubious policy is ruling the country, the minister said: “You can see for sure whether there is any double-standard, when it (gazette) will published. And see, I can’t reply all of his queries.”
Earlier, on November 16, Anisul said after a meeting with the Appellate Division Justices that he is waiting for the permission from the president, to publish the gazette.
“We can publish the gazette before December 3, if he permits”, he said.
