AL wants competitive elections: Quader

PV Desk : Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader said that his party has no intention to play alone in an open field, it rather wants competitive elections.

Obaidul Quader, also, the Road Transport and Bridges Minister made the remark while visiting the construction work of a flyover at Mohipal area of Feni on Dhaka-Chittagong Highway.

In response to an allegation made by BNP that Khaleda Zia is being harassed through cases to keep her away from elections, the Minister said that case is a matter of court. The court has the authority to acquit or punish anyone. The matter is entirely up to the court, and AL has nothing to do in this regard.

Hopefully, the six-lane flyover is going to be inaugurated by the Prime Minister by the first week of December.

Feni Police Super Jahangir Alam Sarker, Feni municipality panel mayor Nazrul Islam Swapan Miazi and the army officers involved in the construction work of flyover, and local Awami League activists were present there.
