PV Desk : At least 18 houses were vandalized and six people injured as two rival groups of drug dealers involved in a clash in Fatullah of Narayanganj Saturday (November 11).
Six members of Swadhin group sustained knife stabbings.
Three of them are—Swadhin, Arif and Robin. Of them, Swadhin and Arif were taken to Dhaka Medical Collge Hospital (DMCH).
Witnesses said that the drug dealers of Swadhin group and Munna group carried out the mayhem at Nandalalpur rail line area, following a dispute over establishing supremacy in the locality.
The houses and a truck were battered in the clash, continued for only 30 minutes, around 9:00-9:30pm.
Besides, Tk20,000 and a mobile from were snatched away from the truck driver.
At one stage, the drug dealers fled away, sensing presence of the law enforcers.
Fatullah Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Kamal Uddin told Banglanews that the situation has been taken under control. The attackers will be detained.
Either the affected residents or the police will file a case over the incident, he added.
