PV Desk : Bangladesh Minister for Foreign Affairs AH Mahmood Ali sat in a discussion with the representatives from India, China, Thailand and Laos in Dhaka in a bid to solve Rohingya crisis.
The meeting began at state guest building ‘Padma’ on Wednesday noon (November 8).
Some higher officials of Bangladesh administration also attended the discussion.
Sources said that AH Mahmood Ali earlier also discussed with the high-level representatives from the four countries, on the Rohingya crisis and for repatriating them to Myanmar.
India, China, Thailand and Laos are boarder countries with Myanmar.
However, about 600,000 Rohingya have fled to Bangladesh to avoid atrocities in Myanmar following an upsurge in Rakhine state in late August.
The UN has denounced the campaign as “ethnic cleansing”.
