South Africa win toss, to bat first against Bangladesh


PV Sports Desk : South Africa won the toss and elected to bat against Bangladesh in the first Twenty20 international at Mangaung Oval today.

“It looks a decent wicket and we want to have first crack at it,” said JP Duminy, standing in as South African captain in place of the injured Faf du Plessis.

South Africa included a new cap in all-rounder Robbie Frylinck.

Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan said he would have preferred to bat but added: “I don’t think it will change much. We know we have to play well for 40 overs.”


South Africa: JP Duminy (captain), Hashim Amla, Quinton de Kock (wkt), AB de Villiers, David Miller, Farhaan Behardien, Andile Phehlukwayo, Robbie Frylinck, Aaron Phangiso, Dane Paterson, Beuran Hendricks.
