Hasan urges Khaleda not to create unstable situation


PV Desk : Awami League publicity and publication secretary Dr Hasan Mahmud today urged BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia not to create any unstable situation in the country.

“Don’t try to create unrest across the country . . . If BNP tries to do it, people of Bangladesh will give a befitting reply,” he told a discussion at Segunbagicha ‘s Swadhinata Hall here marking the 54th birthday of Shaheed Sheikh Russel, who was killed along with Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on August 15, 1975.

Hasan alleged that Khaleda Zia held secret meetings in London with a Pakistani intelligence agency and a middle-east-based militant organization recently only to create chaos across the country. He called upon the countrymen to remain alert against such attempt.

“There was a plot to create chaos after arrival of the BNP chairperson but they (BNP) couldn’t do it as the government and members of the law enforcement agencies remained alert,” he added.
