PV Desk : Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has joined the dialogue with Election Commission (EC) over the next general election under a neutral government after dissolving parliament.
The dialogue, led by Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda, began at 11:00 am.
Headed by BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, a delegation of fifteen members submitted a set of written proposals to Chief Election Commissioner (CEC).
Party members recommended in the dialogue that a credible election is not possible under Sheikh Hasina.
In the written proposals, they proposed a neutral government during election-time, and dissolution of running parliament.
However, the party did not present their framework on a neutral government in the written proposal, but they will submit it later.
