UN Security Council to sit again tomorrow

PV International Desk : The Security Council of the United Nations will sit again on Friday (October 13) to discuss the Rohingya issue.
An informal meeting was called on Myanmar to hear former UN secretary general Kofi Annan provide details of a report on the plight of Rohingya Muslims, who are the worst victim across the world.
The UN’s top political affairs official Jeffrey Feltman will visit Myanmar to discuss the Rohingya issue. His four-day tour will begin on Friday.
Brutal, well-organized, coordinated and systematic attacks have been carrying out against the minority Muslim Rohingya community in Myanmar, with the intention of not just driving them away but also preventing their return, a new United Nations human rights report has revealed.
Based on on-the-ground interviews in Cox’s Bazar of Bangladesh, where hundreds of thousands of Rohingya have sought refuge, the report also draws attention to a strategy to “instil deep and widespread fear and trauma – physical, emotional and psychological” among the Rohingya population.
