UNICEF to set up 1,300 learning centres for Rohingya children

PV Desk : UNICEF has announced plans to build over 1,300 new learning centres for Rohingya child refugees in Bangladesh.
About 15,000 Rohingya children in camps and settlements in Cox’s Bazar have been enrolled in the 182 learning centres currently being run by the UN children’s agency.
“It is critical that these children, who have suffered so much in this crisis should have access to education in a safe and nurturing environment,” said UNICEF Representative in Bangladesh Edouard Beigbeder.
This is critical not just to provide them with a much-needed sense of normalcy now, but to build a future for them to look forward to, Beigbeder said.
