PV Desk : Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader today urged the local and international aid agencies to come forward in aid of the Rohiynga as it is very important to ensure quality sanitation and safe drinking water in their camps here.

“Quality sanitation and safe drinking water is very essential for the Rohingya, ousted from their homes in the Rakhine state in the face of ethnic cleansing by the Myanmar troops,” he said while opening the Durga Puja festival at Indrasen Temple.

Quader, also the general secretary of Bangladesh Awami League, said Ukhia and Teknaf people showed their highly appreciable sympathy for the Rohingya, adding, “Without the local people’s cooperation, relief and other rehabilitation works could be difficult for the large number of Rohingya.”
