RAB rescues 79 Rohingyas, sends to camp


PV Desk : Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) rescued 79 Rogingyas in the drives conducted in different places of Ukhia in Cox’s Bazar Saturday (September 23).

The drives were carried out from 07:00pm to 09:00pm.

Later, the rescued Rohingyas were sent to Kutupalong refugee camps in Ukhia.

RAB Cox’s Bazar Company Commander Lieutenant Ashiqur Rahman told Banglanews that the 79 Rohingyas earlier entered Bangladesh through different borders fleeing the violence in Myanmar.

On secret information, RAB conducted search and rescued them from bus, microbus and auto-rickshaws while they, hiding identity, were trying to advance in different areas of the country including Chittagong.

Of the 79, 35 are women while 35 are men and the rest are children, said the RAB official.
