Sylhet-Teknaf road march for Rohingyas foiled by police

PV Desk : The Sylhet-Teknaf road march called for protesting genocide of Rohingyas and demanding atrocities by Myanmar in Rakhine State was foiled by police on Thursday (September 21).

‘Humanity for Rohingya Bangladesh’, a platform floated for raising voice for repressed Rohingyas, called the road-march program.

The marchers left Sylet city for Teknaf at about 12:00 pm led by chairman of the platform Advocate Maulana Shahinur Pasha Chowdhury, a former MP of Sunamganj.

Police obstructed the caravan of road march’s vehicles at noon when it reached Rashidpur on Dhaka-Sylhet Highway in Sylhet.
