Rice prices decline from tomorrow: Rice traders


PV Desk : The Rice traders today assured that the prices of rice would decline from tomorrow as the government would resolve several problems related to the rice imports.

Leaders of the Bangladesh Auto Major and Husking Mill Owners Association (BAMHMOA) after their meeting with several ministers told reporters that they had a good conversation with the government and assured that the prices of rice would start declining from tomorrow.

They BAMHMOA leaders said this after their meeting with Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed, Agriculture Minister Matia Chowdhury and Food Minister Quamrul Islam at the Bangladesh Secretariat.

President of the association Abdur Rashid said, “We had a good meeting with the government and we assure that the prices of rice would go down by tomorrow.” “The prices of rice will be reduced by Taka two to Taka three per kg from tomorrow,” said the association secretary K M Layek Ali.
