PM leaves Abu Dhabi for NY to attend 72nd UNGA


PV Desk : After making a stopover in the UAE capital of Abu Dhabi, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina left here this morning for New York to attend the 72nd Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

An Etihad Airways flight carrying the premier and her entourage members took off from Abu Dhabi Airport at 10:50am local time, Bangladesh Ambassador to the UAE Muhammad Imran told BSS.

Ambassador Imran saw the prime minister off at the airport.

The flight is scheduled to reach John F Kennedy International
Airport in New York at 4.20pm (NY time) today.

Bangladesh Ambassador to USA M Ziauddin and Bangladesh Permanent
Representative to UN Masud Bin Momen will receive the prime minister at the airport. Earlier on Saturday, the premier reached Abu Dhabi en route to New York at 4.40pm local time.

Sheikh Hasina left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka for Abu Dhabi at 2.10pm (BST) on Saturday.
