Dhaka envoys visit Kutupalong Rohingya camps


PV Desk : Ambassadors of all the foreign countries in Dhaka reached Cox’s Bazar on Wednesday (September 13), to inspect the condition of Rohingya refugees in Kutupalong camps.
The plane landed at Cox’s Bazar Airport, at around 10:45am.
Earlier, the 67-seat flight set off for Cox’s Bazar from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka, at around 09:55am.
The journey was made under an initiative taken by the foreign ministry of Bangladesh.
State Minister for foreign affairs Md Shahriar Alam, Secretary Shahidul Haque and Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies (BIISS) Chairman Munshi Faiz Ahmad are accompanying the delegation led by Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali.
Witnessing the condition of the displaced Rohingya people who fled Myanmar to avoid barbaric persecution upon them there, the ambassadors are expected to return Dhaka at around 04:45pm.
Apart from ambassadors of 40 countries in Dhaka, the visiting team also includes acting ambassadors and representatives from some other countries and chiefs of some United Nation (UN) associated bodies.
