India to stand beside Bangladesh on Rohingya crisis: Shringla


PV Desk : Indian High Commissioner to Dhaka Harsh Vardhan Shringla has said that India would provide all kinds of support to Bangladesh in managing pressure of Rohingyas, who are fleeing violence in Myanmar.
Shringla in an interview with a national daily of Bangladesh said that his country would stand beside Bangladesh to cope the burden of Rohingya people.
He lauded the role of Bangladesh over the Rohingya issue.
The Indian envoy said that New Delhi cleared its stance over the Rohingya issue in the statement issued on Saturday (September 09). New Delhi in the statement expressed deep concern over the situation in Rakhine State of Myanmar and flooding of refugees into Bangladesh.
“India believes that the violence in Rakhine should be stopped immediately,” he said.
The Indian High Commissioner, however, could not clear the stance of the neighboring country whether its stance about Rohingya issue if it is raised in the United Nations.
