CJ flies to Canada


PV Desk : Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha left for Canada to visit his ailing daughter there.
Afterwards, he would travel to Japan on September 17 to attend a conference of chief justices of Asia and the Pacific.
He left for Canada in a flight of Etihad Airways from Shahjalal International Airport at around 10:05pm Friday (September 8), said Joint District Judge Mohammad Anisur Rahman also a secretary to the CJ.
The CJ is scheduled to return home on around September 22.
Justice Md. Abdul Wahhab Miah, a senior judge of the Appellate Division, will serve the duties of CJ in this time of his absence.
CJ’s wife Sushma Sinha and Appellate Division Registrar Md. Jakir Hossain will be accompanied CJ in the scheduled visit to Japan.
