PV Sports Desk : Bangladesh spinners have picked up five Australia wickets in the morning to put Bangladesh in the driving seat on the fourth day of the Mirpur Test.
Australia were 199 for 7 at the stroke of lunch with Glenn Maxwell (14) and Pat Cummins (2) holding the innings at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Wednesday.
Resuming on an overnight total of 109 for 2, David Warner struck his 19th Test century, giving Australia a strong foundation to build on a viciously turning track. But Bangladesh spinners had other ideas.
Shakib Al Hasan gave Bangladesh the crucial breakthroughs. He took out centurion David Warner (112) and Steve Smith (37) in quick succession to raise Bangladesh hopes at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Wednesday.
Shakib skidded one through and the delivery kept low to trap Warner in front. The Aussie opener reviewed it but the decision stood.
