BGB chief for preventing Rohingya intrusion


PV Desk : Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) director general Major General Abul Hossain said that combined effort is being taken in border areas to prevent Rohingya infiltrations.
He made the remark to reporters in city’s Pilkhana area on Monday (Aug 28) after inaugurating a four-day long conference comprising chiefs from 24 educational institutions directed by Bangladesh Border Guard (BGB).
BGB DG said United Nations is working at the Bangladesh-Myanmar border to coordinate the joint resistance with the help Police SP, administration, local representatives and chairmen of the concerned areas.
“Bangladesh is a sovereign country and no one is allowed to intrude here. BGB has all the preparations to prevent any such attempt.”
In response to a query, BGB DG said that Rohingyas are being sent back from border with a humanitarian manner from our side and BGB has already held talks with Myanmar in this regard on Aug 27. They have assured to do the same.
