Notable change of Ctg city within a year, says Mayor


PV Report : City Mayor AJM Nasiruddin said notable change of Chittagong city would be visible within one year.
He said this while speaking at a roundtable hosted by country’s top online news portal Banglanews at Radisson Blue Chittagong on Sunday. Banglanews Editor-in-chief Alamgir Hossain presided.
The Mayor said water-logging has taken a serious turn, but its resolution is not so easy. Because it had initiated since 1960, nevertheless, it should be eased.
The daily Azadi Editor MA Malek said pressure of population could be eased if a few trains are introduced in Dohazari, Nazirhat and Feni.
The Mayor said a few laws should be time befitting. There’re elected representatives only in City Corporation, the city dwellers pay taxes directly and hence people’s expectations to this organization is high due to very consistent reason.
