PV Desk : Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid on Friday urged university students to nurture creativity and apply their innovative ideas.
“You (students) must create new knowledge by applying your innovatition power, and you should apply the knowledge in resolving problems. And that’s why the universities must have research facilities,” he said.
The Education Minister told this while addressing the inaugural session of two-day Innovative Teaching and Learning Expo-2017 jointly arranged by Daffodil Education Network and British Council Bangladesh at Daffodil Tower in the capital.
Noting that higher education is not for only getting certificate, he said a big change must be brought in this regard and the universities and its students have a big role to play.
“New generation must be prepared to advance the country ahead. New knowledge should be explored. So, innovative teaching and learning is very important,” Nahid said.
