PV Desk : Legendary Bangla movie star Abdur Razzak popularly known as “Nayak Raj Razzak” will be laid to eternal rest at the Banani graveyard at 10am tomorrow.
“Razzak’s son Bappi, who lives in Canada, will reach Dhaka tomorrow dawn. Later, Razzak will be buried,” Bangladesh Film Artistes’ Association president Misha Sawdagar told BSS.
Earlier today, the celebrated film star’s body was taken at Central Shaheed Minar at around 12.15 pm for last civic tributes.
Hundreds of people queued in lines with flowers to pay tributes to their beloved film star Nayak Raj who died of cardiac arrest yesterday at the age of 75.
People of all strata of life including ministers, political leaders, cultural activities, artistes, professionals, teachers, students, friends, fans and admirers rallied in queue to pay their last homage to the celebrated film star by placing floral wreaths on the coffin under the arrangement of the Sammilita Sangskritik Jote.
Many fans of Razzak came from different long distance to have last glimpse of the film star. Two long separate queues for male and female carrying flowers in hands reached Dhaka Medical College Hospital door gate from the Central Shaheed Minar.
