Rawhide prices fixed ahead of Eid


PV Desk : The government has fixed the prices of rawhide of the sacrificial animals ahead of the Eid-ul-Azha.
Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed made the announcement at a press briefing at the conference room of his ministry in Bangladesh Secretariat on Sunday (August 20).
According to the announcement, the price of cow’s rawhide has been fixed at Tk. 50-55 per square foot in Dhaka and Tk. 40-45 in the rest of the county this year.
On the other hand, the tanners will buy the goat’s rawhide at Tk. 20-25 across the country. However, the price of ‘Baqra’ goats has been fixed at Tk 15-17.
The price for buffalo rawhide has been fixed at Tk. 25 per square foot.
