PV Desk : Food Minister Advocate Md. Qamrul Islam today said the government is working relentlessly to ensure ‘cent percent’ safe food for all by 2041 to achieve its goal of transforming the country into a developed one.
“The government is now hundred percent capable of ensuring food security and there is no food deficiency in the country. We are now trying to ensure cent percent safe food for all by 2041 to turn the country into a developed one,” the minister told the inaugural function of a workshop for journalists in the city.
Bangladesh Food Safety Authority (BFSA) organized the workshop on ‘Role of the Media in Protecting Public Health by Ensuring Healthy Qurbani’ at Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies (BIISS) auditorium in the city’s Ramna area.
BFSA Chairman Mohammad Mahfuzul Hoque presided over the inaugural function that was addressed by National Team Leader of Institutionalization of Food Safety in Bangladesh for Safer food AKM Nurul Afsar and Director of News and Operation at Ekattor TV Syed Ishtiaque Reza as special guests.
