PV Desk : The High Court (HC) on Sunday (August 13) deferred the verdict on death references and appeals in the Narayanganj seven-murder cases until August 22.
An HC bench of Justice Bhabani Prasad Singh and Justice Mostofa Zaman passed the order.
Earlier, on July 26, the same bench fixed August 13 for delivering the verdict in the sensational murder cases as hearing came to an end.
On Sunday, SM Shahjahan, a lawyer on side of the accused, told reporters that verdicts will be given upon two death references in the cases.
The justices might have been taking time for sake of justice, he added.
Family members and relatives of the deceased came to the court and reiterated their expectation that justice would be ensured.
