Man dies under tin-sheds dismantled by gusty winds


PV Desk : A passerby died and two others injured after being crushed under tin sheds dismantled by strong wind in Fisheryghat area of Chittagong district on Friday morning (Aug 11).

The deceased was identified as Rasel Dey, 35, son of one Ranjith Dey, hailed from Vatikhain area of Patia upazila. He was an employee of a private bank in Chittagong.

The injured persons were identified as Abdul Khalek, 40, hailing from Bengura area of Boalkhali upazila and Sayedul Alam, 60, hailing from Char Patharghata area of Karnaphuli thana.

Chittagong Medical College Hospital police outpost ASI Md Alauddin told Banglanews that the incident took place as teen sheds of a local hut torn apart by gusty winds and buried three pedestrians on the road. They were rushed to CMCH where on-duty physician declared one dead on arrival. Two others are undergoing treatment.
