PV Desk : The maiden meeting of the Supreme Judicial Council was held Sunday (August 06) following the 16th Amendment verdict that scrapped the Parliament’s power to remove the SC judges for misconducts or incapacity.
However, the detail of the meeting was known on Wednesday (August 09).
The meeting led by Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha decided that the judges must sign verdicts and orders within six months from delivering them, said the meeting sources.
Justice M Abdul Wahhab Miah and Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain were also present at the meeting.
The meeting also decided that the instruction will be provided for the judges of both divisions in purpose of taking necessary measures for submitting the signed documents of the cases, verdicts or orders, which have passed six months after announcement of them, by October 10, said the meeting sources.
