PV Desk : Professor Muhammad Zafar Iqbal, unhappy with Bangladesh Chhatra League’s activities, has said the student front of the ruling Awami League would be the reason if the party loses in the next parliamentary election.
He was speaking at the closing ceremony of a two-day computer science and engineering carnival at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology or SUST on Saturday.
His remarks followed the ‘chaotic entry’ of BCL leaders and activists, led by their SUST unit acting chief Ruhul Amin, to the venue.
State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak was present as the chief guest.
“We, who are present here today, are your teachers. You should show us some respect, but you’ve entered in the middle of the programme with your supporters. That’s not right,” Prof Zafar Iqbal said, addressing Ruhul Amin.
