PV Desk : Over two crore children, aged between five months and five years, will be fed Vitamin A-plus capsule on Saturday (August 5) across the country under a national campaign program.
The campaign was taken to prevent night-blindness of children and some other diseases.
State Minister for Health and Family Welfare Ministry Zahid Maleque announced this at a press briefing at the Bangladesh Secretariat.
Children, aged between six and 11 months, will be given the blue-colored Vitamin A capsule, while children, aged between 12 to 59 months, will be fed the red-colored capsule.
The Vitamin A-plus campaign will continue from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm without any break.
Children will be fed the capsule around 120,000 permanent health centers and 20,000 mobile centers across the country. At least two trained volunteers will work at each centre.
