BNP conspiring to foil polls: Nasim

PV Desk : Mohammed Nasim, spokesman of the Awami League-led 14-party alliance, today said BNP is hatching conspiracy both at national and international levels to foil the next general elections.

“BNP never did anything except hatching conspiracy . . . It is doing the same in London right now only to foil the next elections,” he told journalists after a meeting of the alliance at the AL President Sheikh Hasina’s Dhanmondi political office here.

Nasim, AL presidium member and health and family welfare minister, alleged that BNP was active in the field to deter various development activities of the incumbent government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

About the Election Commission’s roadmap centering the next parliamentary elections, he said, “We have faith in this independent Election Commission and it will be able to hold the next polls in a free, fair and credible manner.”
