PV Report : City Mayor AJM Nasiruddin disclosed that Bangladesh Municipal Development Fund (BMDF) will provide 150 crore taka to Chittagong City Corporation for implementation of different uplift projects.
He said this while speaking at the meeting of the four standing committees of the Engineering Department of the CCC held at the conference room on Friday.
The Mayor said the CCC has taken up three mega projects worth 150 crore taka of the BMDF credit. The projects are construction of kitchen market cum 10-storied commercial bhaban at Fallyatali Bazar, kitchen market cum 10-storied commercial market at Boxirhat and multi-purpose convention hall at Agrabad.
He also said repairing work of the roads damaged recently by incessant rain would be started soon after rainy season.
Meanwhile, standing committee members focused on resolving different problems of the city. Issues as maintenance as well as repairing of deep tubewells were also discussed.
The meeting was attended, among others, by Saleh Ahmed Chowdhury, Md. Abdul Kader, Md. Javed, Md. Morshed Alam, CCC Chief Engineer Lt. Colonel Mahiuddin Ahmed and city planners AKM Rezaul Karim.
