Singapore urged to invest in Bangladesh


PV Report : Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCC&I) President called upon the entrepreneurs of Singapore to invest in Bangladesh.

He made the call while speaking at the opinion exchange meeting with the 29-member Singapore trade delegation at Bangabandhu Conference Hall of World Trade Center on Thursday.

He said that Singapore entrepreneurs could invest in potential sectors like shipbuilding, ship re-cycling, RMG, jute and jute goods, ceramics, electrical and electronix, light engineering, tourism and marine economy etc. at special industrial zones in Sitakunda and Mirsarai taking advantage of the offers provided by the Bangladesh government.

The chamber President said both the countries could benefit through joint & individual investment in the country availing market opportunities across the developed world including the European Union.

The meeting was attended, among others, by Syed Jamal Ahmed, AKM Akhter Hossain, Kamal Mostafa Chowdhury, Md. Habibul Hoq, Md. Jahurul Alam, Sarwar Hasan Jamil and Anjan Shekhar Das.
