PV Desk : Attorney General Mahbubey Alam has expressed dissatisfaction over the verdict of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court that upheld the decision of the High Court on 16th amendment to the Constitution.
Mahbubey Alam gave his reaction at his office in the Supreme Court on Monday morning (July 03), just after the seven-member bench of the Appellate Division, headed by Chief Justice SK Sinha, delivered the verdict, declaring the 16th amendment illegal.
“We have been disappointed over the verdict. A vacuum will be created over the issue regarding removal of the SC judges following the verdict,” the Attorney General Alam told reporters.
Replying to a question, he said that they will decide about moving a review petition in this regard after consultation with the government.
