PV Desk : Sound of blast explosion was heard from the suspected militant dens in Savar, on the outskirts of capital city, during the operation of the bomb disposal unit of police on Saturday (May 27).
Earlier in the morning, the police led by chief of the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) Monirul Islam resumed operation at the suspected militant dens.
The CTTC unit also recovered equipments used for making explosives.
The law enforcers on Friday evening (May 26) cordoned-off two houses at Namagenda Mollah Market area of Savar suspecting militant dens. Besides, laptop and jihadi books were also recovered from the dens.
The gas and power connection of the houses and adjacent areas have been cut off. Fire service personnel were also deployed in the area.
