Law, order situation improved in Bangladesh: IGP


Inspector General of Bangladesh Police (IGP) AKM Shahidul Haque said that the overall law and order situation in the country is better than any given time.

IGP made the remark while addressing at a rally on community policing against drug and terrorism organized by the Dhaka Metropolitan Police Wari unit in city’s Dhulpur field on Friday (May 19).

Shahidul Haque said the security system of the country has been reorganized after the terrorist attacks in Gulshan’s Holey Artisan restaurant and Sholakia Eid prayers.

“Our Special teams, formed by talented police officers, have conducted drives after drives at different militant hideouts throughout the country fearlessly while many of the militants were either killed or detained. Law and order is prevailing in country like no other times.”
DMP commissioner Mohammad Asaduzzaman Mia said the whole country is united against drugs and militancy. Police is working with the help of common people as well as ensuring that no one is above the law.
